The primary purpose of my job position is to direct our facility’s human resources, payroll, and benefit administration departments
Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the human resources, payroll, and benefit administration departments.
Monitor and approve PTO for all employees.
Accurate entry of payroll information for all employees.
Work with insurance brokers to review benefit programs (pensions, health, life, dental, etc) at renewal time.
Assure timely submission for payroll and check distribution.
Maintain confidentiality of all personnel records and employee related issues.
Represent the facility at unemployment and appeals hearings.
Fill requests for new or replacement personnel from department heads.
Arrange for interviews with department heads as required.
Assure timely reference checks are done for each newly hired employee.
Communicate with department heads concerning the staffing of their department (Including hiring, eliminating, etc)
Maintain records for personnel transactions and data.
Ensure that the facility is in compliance with current federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime work hours, workman’s compensation, etc.
Ensure hiring and terminating procedures are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Co-organize and implement all employee events.
Plan and supervise all employee morale-building programs.
Serve on various facility committees as appointed by the administrator.
Supervise bookkeeping, human resources, and payroll staff providing for professional growth.
Provide ongoing in-services training to facility staff.
Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and terminate staff as necessary.
Assist department directors in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of orientation and in-service training classes/programs relative to the human resources, payroll, and admissions departments
Meet with department directors on a regularly scheduled basis and conduct/participate in supervisory level in-service training classes/programs relative to the human resources, payroll
Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., to keep abreast of current changes relative to the human resources, payroll, and admissions departments

Jennifer Cottrill CSW - Director of Social Services

 

Hello, my name is Jennifer Cottrill.  I am the Director of Social Services at Eastside Health and Rehabilitation Center.  As the director I make sure social services is meeting with residents and their families.  I also make sure we advocate for our residents and that we meet state and federal guidelines.  We also complete investigations when needed and also run resident council. As well as the Social Services Director, I am also the social worker for second floor and part of first floor. Unfortunately, when residents become ill and need hospitalization, our department will provide socialization at the hospital.  I graduated from the social work program at UW-Whitewater in 2002 and I am also certified in the state of Wisconsin to practice social work.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  The Social Service office is located on the ground floor and my phone number is 414-271-1020 x3024.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

 

LaToya Madison - Social Worker

 

My name is LaToya Madison and I'm a Social Worker at Eastside Health and Rehab Center.  I have a BS in Psychology and also a Certification to work as a Social Worker.  As a Social Worker, I inform residents and their families of resources and services available to them so that they can either return to live in the community or reside at Eastside for long term care.  I work closely with residents, families, and guardians to ensure that residents are aware of their rights and responsibilities and that all concerns are addressed and satisfied.  In addition to providing social services to our residents, I also assist with admissions and marketing.
